Educational Technology has created a free blog space for all SBISD district employees. Anyone in the district can now create their own blog. The question is: HOW do you create and manage a blog using the My SBISD Blog Community?
To support teachers and district staff in creating a professional or classroom blog, Educational Technology has created an online tutorial that acts as an introduction to blogging, WordPress, and the My SBISD Blog Community. The tutorial will cover all the basic issues of how to create and maintain a blog on the My SBISD Community Blog. Issues for teachers, administrators and district employees who wish to create a professional education blog, as well as teachers who want to blog WITH their students will be addressed. The blog tutorial is located at - http://howto.blog.mysbisd.com.
If you are interested in taking this online class, please register in PDLC for course # 2894.5639, Blogging 101: How to Create & Manage a Blog Using the My SBISD Blog Community.
This class is strictly online; there will be no face-to-face meetings. Consequently, in order to receive credit, you'll need to participate in the online course by completing all assignments before May 30, 2008.
